چکیده

In intelligent transportation systems (ITS), communications between vehicles, i.e. vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) are of greatest importance to facilitate autonomous driving. The current state-of-the-art for secure data exchange in V2V relies on public-key cryptography (PKC) consuming significant computational and energy resources the encryption/decryption process large bandwidth key distribution. To overcome these limitations, physical-layer security (PLS) has emerged as a lightweight solution by exploiting physical characteristics communication channel generate symmetric cryptographic keys. Currently, key-generation algorithms designed via empirical parameter settings, without resulting optimum performance. this paper, we devise algorithm PLS introducing novel response quantisation method that results performance analytical settings. Contrary state-of-the-art, responses incorporate all attributes contribute temporal variability, such three dimensional (3D) scattering scatterers’ mobility. An extra functionality, namely, Perturbe-Observe (PO), is further incorporated enables adapt inherent non-reciprocity at legitimate entities. Optimum evidenced maximisation bit generation rate (BGR) entropy (H) minimisation mismatch (BMR). A new metric introduced, so-called secret-bit (SBGR), ratio number bits which successfully used compose keys total amount samples. SBGR unifies BGR BMR thus maximised proposed algorithmic process.

Key Establishment Protocols for Secure Mobile Communications: A Selective Survey

We analyse several well-known key establishment protocols for mobile communications. The protocols are examined with respect to their security and suitability in mobile environments. In a number of cases weaknesses are pointed out, and in many cases reenements are suggested, either to improve the eeciency or to allow simpliied security analysis.

Optimum Secret Sharing Scheme Secure against Cheating

Tompa and Woll considered a problem of cheaters in (k; n) threshold secret sharing schemes. We rst derive a tight lower bound on the size of shares jV i j for this problem: jV i j (jSj 1)= + 1, where V i denotes the set of shares of participant P i , S denotes the set of secrets, and denotes the cheating probability. We next present an optimum scheme which meets the equality of our bound by usi...

Secure and privacy-preserving, timed vehicular communications

We consider the problem of privacy (anonymity) and security in vehicular (V2V) communication, in particular securing routine safety messages. Traditional public key mechanisms are not appropriate for such applications because of the large number of safety messages that have to be transmitted by each vehicle, typically one message every 100−300ms. We first show that a recently proposed V2V commu...

Efficient and Spontaneous Privacy-Preserving Protocol for Secure Vehicular Communications

This paper introduces an efficient and spontaneous privacy-preserving protocol for vehicular ad-hoc networks based on revocable ring signature. The proposed protocol has three appealing characteristics: First, it offers conditional privacypreservation: while a receiver can verify that a message issuer is an authorized participant in the system only a trusted authority can reveal the true identi...
